LIVE THEATRE IS BACK!

We thank you for supporting the arts and we understand that wearing a mask can be tricky, but to keep live theatre going and to ensure the safety of not only our patrons but our students apart of our productions as well, we have placed necessary measures on our building use, ticketing policy, and mask guidelines.

In order for NMSU’s Theatre Arts program to safely reopen in the ASNMSU Center for the Arts (CFTA), we’re instituting the following changes:

In alignment with updated guidance from the CDC and recommendations from New Mexico Gov. Michelle
Lujan Grisham, masks will be heavily encouraged and recommended beginning Wednesday, February 17th, 2022, at all indoor NMSU system locations and offices around the state.
This indoor mask recommendations applies to all classrooms, labs, meeting rooms, vehicles and other spaces, and to all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to NMSU campuses and offices.
Recent studies indicate that vaccinated people (even with the booster) can still transmit the coronavirus. Wearing a mask reduces transmission of all variants and keeps our community safer. Please be mask-ready. If you need a mask, ask within your department and one will be provided to you.
We continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and the New Mexico Department of Health and will update our requirements as that guidance evolves and as conditions warrant.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PATRONS

With an increase in COVID-19 cases in our state, as well as the prevalent Delta and Omicron variant, we strongly encourage all patrons to become fully vaccinated prior to attending our shows. This is our first and most important way of reducing the devastating health effects of COVID-19 and we request that everyone that can get vaccinated to please do so. It protects both you and our community. In addition, universal indoor masking remains an important strategy of protection. In alignment with the current State of NM Public Heath Order, all are strongly encouraged wear a mask while in the Center for the Arts as well as throughout the duration of the performance. If you are experiencing symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, or have had a recent positive COVID-19 test, please wait until you have received a negative COVID-19 test before entering the CFTA. Our policies related to vaccination and COVID-safe practices align with recent guidance from the Office of the Governor, the New Mexico departments of Health and Higher Education, and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.

We strongly encourage you to be fully vaccinated before attending an event at this venue.
In alignment with current New Mexico public health orders, you are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times while indoors, including in the theatre.
